BERKELEY - The Cal Athletic Ticket Office announced today that only 100 season tickets remain for Cal's 1999-2000 men's basketball season. The Bears first exhibition game is Monday, Nov. 8 against EA Sports, while the regular-season home opener is Nov. 27 versus the University of the Pacific.
Demand for tickets in the new 12,300-seat Haas Pavilion has exceeded all expectations and school officials are expecting capacity crowds for the upcoming season.
The remaining season tickets are available by calling the Cal Athletic Ticket Office at 800-GO BEARS or 510-64-BEARS.
The school will continue to hold a limited number of tickets for Cal students. More than 1,700 student tickets have already been allocated.
In addition, Cal will reserve 500 tickets for all individual games for those unable to purchase season tickets. Those tickets will be available for purchase through BASS ticket outlets or by phone at 510-762-BASS
After playing the last two seasons in the New Arena at Oakland, Cal moves into the $57.5 million Haas Pavilion this year. Cal averaged 10,482 fans in Oakland last season during a 22-11 campaign.
