Los Angeles, CA - The No. 7 California men's gymnastics team finished first at the Peter Vidmar Invitational, posting a score of 217.525. No. 10 Stanford came in second, with a score of 212.025, while Air Force's 194.050 was good for third place.
Individually, Golden Bear gymnasts finished first in five of six events. Senior co-captain Graham Ackerman had a sensational night, finishing first on the floor (9.650) and vault (9.350), and second on the parallel bars (8.975) and high bar (9.250).
Fellow senior Jay Yee was equally impressive, capturing the top spot on both the pommel horse (9.350) and still rings (9.6750).
Freshman Colin Christ tied for first on the high bar, where he posted a score of 9.450.
The Bears travel to Palo Alto on Sunday, March 6 to face Stanford at 3 p.m.
