April 2, 2012
BERKELEY - With the start of the 2012 Cal football season and reopening of Memorial Stadium less than five months away, Golden Bear fans can now officially begin choosing their seats for the upcoming campaign.
The selection process for 2012 season tickets got underway Monday morning, starting with 2011 season-ticket holders and donors at the $1,200 level and above. Fans who purchased season tickets in 2010 but were not able to join the Bears last year in San Francisco, along with donors at the $100 level and above, will start picking their seats on April 20, while those who previously placed a per-seat deposit will select on April 30.
Complete details on seat selection, stadium improvements and more are available at CaliforniaMemorialStadium.com. Participants in the selection process can use their log-in information to watch a video tutorial and electronically select any available seat at their selection time, choosing up to 20 season tickets per account.
Fans who are not part of the three groups mentioned above and would like to become season-ticket holders in 2012 can place a $100 per-seat deposit by clicking here. This deposit guarantees access to tickets before the general public and will not result in a seat selection time. Season ticket prices begin at under $18 per game for youth and seniors in the family-friendly GoldZone.
The Golden Bears open the 2012 season at home against Nevada on Sept. 1. Other opponents coming to Berkeley for the seven-game slate are Southern Utah, USC, Arizona State, Stanford, Washington and Oregon.
Anyone with questions is welcome to call the Cal Athletic Ticket Office at (800) GO BEARS (462-3277) Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
