Jan. 22, 2007 -- Ashley Walker collects her third Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor after leading the California women's basketball team to two more key Pac-10 victories. In the two games, the sophomore averaged 18 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists, while shooting 14-of-19 from the field (.737) and 8-of-14 from the free throw line (.571).

She turned in the best shooting performance of any player in the Pac-10 this season in Cal's 63-57 win over Oregon State on Thursday as she posted 23 points on 11-of-12 shooting, a sterling 91.7 percent from the field. Walker also added seven rebounds, two assists, and drew a late charge on OSU's Casey Nash, which fouled the Pac-10's leading scorer out of the game and helped the Golden Bears pull out the win.

On Saturday against Oregon, Walker posted 13 points and eight rebounds as the Bears beat the Ducks 65-56 for their first series sweep of the Oregon schools since the 2000-01 season. Walker is currently third in the Conference in scoring (17.8), second in rebounding (8.6), third in field goal percentage (.557), and fourth in blocked shots (1.58).

Walker's contributions have keyed Cal to a 15-4 start, tied with the 1991-92 squad for the best start in school history. The Golden Bears (15-4, 6-3 Pac-10) travel to face the Arizona schools this week.
