Clarendon Earns All-Academic Honor

Junior guard Layshia Clarendon was named to the Pac-12 Conference Women's Basketball All-Academic second team in honors announced by the conference. Juniors Talia Caldwell and Eliza Pierre and sophomore Lindsay Sherbert all earned honorable mentions.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and either be a starter or a significant contributor.

The honors are split into a five-member first team and a five-member second team.

Clarendon, an American Studies major with a 3.44 cumulative grade point average, earned the first All-Academic honors of her career. She was an honorable mention last season.

The Bears had three players earn honorable mentions: junior center Talia Caldwell (Business Administration major), junior guard Eliza Pierre (African American Studies major), and sophomore guard Lindsay Sherbert (undeclared major).
