BERKELEY - The 112th Big Game featuring Cal and Stanford on Saturday, Nov. 21 has been selected for a national television broadcast by Versus and will kick off from Stanford Stadium at 4:30 p.m., the Pac-10 conference announced Monday.
Cal has won six of the last seven meetings between the schools, while the Cardinal holds a 55-45-1 edge in the all-time series. Cal was a 37-16 winner last season at Memorial Stadium. Stanford snapped a five-game Cal winning streak in the Big Game with a 20-13 victory over the Bears the last time the teams played at Stanford Stadium in 2007.
The announcement concludes starting time and television broadcast information for the Cal football 2009 regular season. Cal's home finale against Arizona at Memorial Stadium this Saturday, Nov. 14 (4 p.m.) will also be televised by Versus. The team's regular season finale at Washington on Saturday, Dec. 5 (3:30 p.m. PT) will be televised by Comcast SportsNet California and Fox Sports Net Northwest.
A total of 84 Cal football games, including the upcoming scheduled telecasts, have been televised in eight seasons under head coach Jeff Tedford.
Cal is 6-3 overall and 3-3 in the Pac-10 heading into its final three games of the 2009 regular season.
