Cal's First Two Home Games to Start at 2 p.m.

BERKELEY - Games times for Cal's first two home football games have been set, with the Bears' September dates vs. Sacramento State and Illinois kicking off at 2 p.m. from Memorial Stadium.

Cal opens the year Sept. 3 against Sacramento State, and after a Sept. 10 visit to Washington, the Bears return to host Illinois Sept. 17.

Game times for Cal's home contests against Arizona (Oct. 1), Oregon State (Oct. 15) and Washington State (Oct. 22) will not be determined until television selections are made - approximately 12 days prior to kickoff.

The Bears' final home date - Nov. 12 vs. USC - will start at 12:30 p.m., however.

Among Cal's road games, three have already been selected for TV broadcasts - Washington on Sept. 10 at 12:30 on ABC Regional; New Mexico State on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. PT on ESPN; and Stanford on Nov. 19 at 4 p.m. on ABC Regional.
