California Picked Fourth in Pre-Season Pac-10 Poll

The California Golden Bear women's basketball team has been picked to finish fourth in the Pac-10 Preseason Coaches Poll.

Stanford, the defending Pac-10 champions, were picked by the conference coaches to finish first with 9 first-place votes. UCLA was picked to finish second, garnering 73 points in the poll. USC was picked to finish third earning one more point (61) than Cal (60). Arizona State was in fifth with 49 points.

The Golden Bears open their regular season on Friday, Nov. 12 when they host the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Pac-10 play will begin on Sunday, Jan. 2 when they host Stanford.
