PALO ALTO, CA - The California Women's Water Polo team (1-2) fell to UCLA (3-0) today, 6-4, at the Avery Aquatics Center in their third game of the NorCal tournament.

The Bears were led by the Olympic silver medalist duo of freshman Ericka Lorenz's three goals and senior Heather Petri's one. The Bruins jumped to a 2-0 lead behind goals from Kristin Gertin and Robin Beauregard before Lorenz scored the first of her three goals. Lorenz tied the game 2-2 in the second, but the Bears would get no closer as UCLA would tally three goals in the second half. UCLA's Kelly Heuchan, Jessica Lopez and Elaine Zivich were all credited with goals for the Bruins.

Bruin keeper Jaime Hipp had four saves and Cal's Fana Fuqua had three.
