TEMPE, Ariz. - Jorge Gutierrez notched a new persona-best 21 points, Allen Crabbe had 17 points and Markhuri Sanders-Frison finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds for his fourth career double-double.
The 17 point total tied Crabbe's career high, and he also posted that same amount against Arizona on Thursday. Crabbe made four three-pointers against the Sun Devils, giving him seven for the weekend. Crabbe also boasted eight rebounds against ASU after collecting seven at Arizona on Thursday.
Sanders-Frison now has three double-doubles in the past five games that he has played in.
Gutierrez nailed three treys of his own, and shot 6-for-7 from the free throw line to finish with the new career high in scoring. Gutierrez's previous personal high was 20, which he earned against New Mexico on Nov. 20. He also racked up three steals, increasing his team lead to 22.
The Bears had four players reach double figures in scoring for the fourth consecutive game. Junior forward Harper Kamp finished with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Arizona State is the ninth opponent that Cal has held to less than 70 points.
The Bears entered the game fifth in the conference in rebounding margin at +3.8, and outrebounded the Sun Devils, 43-27.
Cal earned 19 second-chance points to ASU's six.
