BERKELEY, CA - : Cal's junior driver, Colette Glinkowski (Danville, CA), was named the Most Valuable Offensive Player of the UC San Diego Invitational and was later named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week.

Glinkowski had a phenomenal weekend in which she scored 15 goals in five games. She lead the Bears in scoring in four of the five matches, including scoring five goal in Cal's 6-3 semifinal upset of No. 1 ranked Stanford. Glinkowski was the team's second leading scorer in '98 with 46 goals and has already tallied 105 goals in her career. Last season, she was a National Championship second team selection, MPSF second team and MPSF All-Tournament Honorable Mention.
