BERKELEY - With tonight's 82-63 California victory over Iowa State, the Golden Bears have now won 36 of their last 38 games at Haas Pavilion, and the last 17 in a row.
Cal has scored at least 70 points in all eight games this season, and the Bears have surpassed 80 points four times.
Patrick Christopher and Omondi Amoke posted double-doubles tonight. Christopher finished with a team-high 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Amoke had a game-high 14 rebounds to go with his 11 points. It was the third time this season that Amoke has reached double digits in scoring, and he has tallied at least eight boards in three of the last four games.
With his 20 points tonight, Christopher now has 1,272 career points and remains in 16th on Cal's all-time list. Jerome Randle notched 18 points tonight, giving him 1,345 for his career. He moved past Jackie Ridgle for 13th on the all-time scoring list. Roy Fisher (1988-91) is in 12th with 1,382 points.
Once again earning the start, Max Zhang had two blocks, giving him a team-best nine on the campaign.
Cal was 10-for-14 from the free-throw line, including Randle going 4-for-4 and Amoke finishing 3-for-3.
The Bears had 44 points in the paint to Iowa State's 26, and earned 26 second-chance points to the Cyclones' seven.
