TEMPE, Ariz. - No. 5 California is in fourth place with a score of 592 after two rounds of the PING/ASU Invitational at Karsten Golf Course. The Golden Bears, who are the defending champions, trail No. 2 UCLA (579), No. 9 USC (582) and No. 6 New Mexico (588) heading into tomorrow's final round which tees off at 7:30 a.m. PT.

Cal sophomore Sofie Andersson was tied for 14th with a first-round score of 74 but dropped to a tie for 37th at 151 following a 77 in the afternoon. Seniors Anna Temple and Claire Dury are tied for 55th (154) and tied for 63rd place (155), respectively.

Washington's Paige Mackenzie sits atop the leader board at minus-two 140, one shot ahead of Pepperdine's Carolina Llano and two shots ahead of a quartet of other golfers, including two from the first-place Bruins (Charlotte Mayorkas and Gina Umeck).

Cal freshman Danielle Nash is competing as an individual and is tied for 55th with Temple. Nash and Dury each posted second-round marks of 75.
