LOS ANGELES -
"We're not valuing the basketball. We're playing sloppy. We're playing out of sorts. We're playing lackadaisical and sloppy. We got away with one against USC. It caught up with us today."
"At this time of year, every team is tired. We didn't come out focused. We let them get four offensive rebounds in the first minute or two. We definitely had our chances. It's not that we didn't have our chances. A team like UCLA, as well as they do, they thrive off turnovers. And they thrive off of offensive rebounds. Those were the two key factors going into the game. And if you don't take care of that, you give them a chance to bet you. They did a great job."
"We didn't shut them down. Their shooters got looks. So much miscommunication. Switching on guard-to-guard screens. Being up on shooters. We just let them run their stuff. We didn't take anything away from them. I wanted to press and to go into some zone, but we ended up not making any baskets, so we weren't able to do that. That hurt us."
On the injury to Alexis Gray-Lawson
"The loss of Lexi is huge. We're not a deep team and she has been playing so well. Whenever any of your players go down, its hard. The whole phenomenon with knees. There are a lot of players out there going down with knee injuries. We don't know how bad her injury is yet. She'll have an MRI tomorrow. We'll have more answers in a day or two."
"It's a great accomplishment on their parts. You always want milestones like this to be a joyous occasion. To see them come in as freshman and to watch them score 1,500 and 2,000 points, it says a lot about them and where they have taken this program."
