On the game
We were really good early. We sometimes lose our focus when we play well and get up. That's one of the things we talked about; trying to sustain a certain level of excellence that we can rely on. We tend to let them back in the game. We didn't have the same level of intensity throughout. It's something we need to get better at. We're not always going to shoot that well.
On Markhuri's game
We need rebounding from our center position. I told Max [Zhang] that in order for him to get more playing time, he needs to rebound the ball. He tends to get his hands down. A guy of his size needs to rebound the ball. I thought Markhuri did a good job on the glass. I told Markhuri the same thing last night when I took him out; you have to rebound the ball. I thought he did a pretty good job in that regard tonight.
On preparation for the conference slate
We'll try to figure out what we're likely to face and what Stanford is going to do. I think Landry Fields is just an outstanding player. We're going to try and not let him score 100 on us. At the same time, try to work on the things that we feel like we need to get better at.
On the offense and Patrick Christopher
It doesn't matter who leads our team in scoring. We have a bunch of people that are capable. Patrick has been shooting the ball very well. I think the thing I've been pleased with is that Patrick has gone to the boards pretty aggressively. We need rebounding from our guards and that's something he's done a good job with. It's all the other things. Shooting the ball is generally not the issue for us. We need to work on taking care of the ball, getting the defensive rebounds and making the extra pass. We need to keep working on all the little things that will make us better.
