BERKELEY - After a week off from competition, the No. 5 Cal women's water polo team plays a pair of matches this weekend, first visiting No. 10 San Jose State in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation contest on Saturday at Noon and then hosting No. 11 Loyola Marymount in a nonconference matchup on Sunday at 11 a.m. Sunday will be Senior Day, as the Bears will honor the six seniors on their roster - Emily Csikos, Breda Vosters, Dana Ochsner, Kirstn Mase, Taylor Dodson and Remington Price - during a pregame ceremony. The weekend could also provide a bit of history as three-time All-American Emily Csikos needs just three goals to become Cal's all-time leading scorer.
Tickets On Sale For 2013 MPSF Championships
Tickets for the 2013 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships to be held at Cal's Spieker Aquatics Complex April 26-28 are now on sale. All-session passes are $30 for adults and $15 for seniors and kids high school age or younger. Tickets can be purchased at CalBears.com, by calling 1-800-GOBEARS or at the Cal Athletic Ticket Office inside Haas Pavilion. All seven teams in the MPSF - six of which are currently ranked in the top-10 in the Collegiate Water Polo top-20 - will compete in the tournament, with the winner earning an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships. Meanwhile, senior Breda Vosters has 23 goals this season to give her 153 for her career, good for sixth place on the Bears' all-time list.
