The No.2 ranked Cal women's varsity eight advanced to the grand final of the NCAA Women's Rowing Championships after winning its semifinal on Lake Natoma, May 29. Cal, Princeton and Harvard advanced from semifinal 2 while Brown, Washington and Virginia advanced form semifinal 1.

"This championship has been everything we thought it had be," said coach Dave O'Neill. "The grand final will be a great end to a fantastic season."

In other racing, the JV and varsity four failed did not advance and will race in the 7-12 place final on Sunday.
