TOKYO - Former California stars Natalie Coughlin and Madison Kennedy competed at the two-day FINA World Cup meet that wrapped up in Tokyo on Thursday, with Coughlin capturing bronze medals in the 100-meter backstroke and 100-meter butterfly.
Coughlin posted a time of 57.92 in the 100 back and a time of 56.95 in the 100 fly. She also placed fourth in the 100-meter individual medley in a time of 1:00.40.
Kennedy finished seventh in the 50 freestyle in a time of 25.04. She placed 12th in the 50-fly heats (27.49), 14th in the 100 -free heats (55.98) and 19th in the 50-back heats (28.99).
