BERKELEY, Calif. - California earned six selections to the 2003-04 Academic All-Pac-10 women's basketball team, tying Arizona State for the most honors in the conference this season. The six picks are the most the Golden Bears have ever had since the first year of Pac-10 women's basketball in 1986-87.

The previous best was four honorees on three occasions, twice coming under current head coach Caren Horstmeyer (2001-02 and 2002-03).

Honorable mention accolades went to Cal seniors Nihan Anaz and Olga Volkova and juniors Khadijah Coakley, Kristin Iwanaga, Jacqueline Sanchez and Kiki Williams.

Anaz also was named to the first team All-Pac-10 squad earlier this month. For Williams, this was her third Academic All-Pac-10 selection. Iwanaga and Volkova each received their second honor, while Coakley and Sanchez garnered their first picks.
