Raquel Kops-Jones and Christina Fusano Win Pacific-10 Doubles Championship

OJAI, Calif. - Cal women's tennis' Raquel Kops-Jones and Christina Fusano claimed the Pac-10 Doubles Championship at Ojai today, defeating UCLA's Megan Bradley and Lauren Fisher, 8-6.

In the singles invitational, Nicole Havlicek lost to USC's Tiffany Brymer in the championship match, 6-1, 6-4.

Kops-Jones and Fusano, who defeated some of the nation's best doubles tandems en route to the championship, had not played a match together in 2002 before the opening round of the Pac-10 doubles championship draw, where they defeated Arizona State's Adria Engle and Mhairi Brown, 8-2.

The Bears are back in action on May 11 and 12, competing in the NCAA Regionals, hosted by the University of California at Hellman Tennis Center.
