In a vote of the league's 12 head coaches, junior guard Layshia Clarendon was named All-Pac-12 in post-season honors announced by the conference. Brittany Boyd and Reshanda Gray were named to the All-Freshman team.

The Pac-12 Conference's All-Pac-12 team is one team of 15 players. The All-Freshmen and All-Defensive teams each have five honorees.

As the Bears' leading scorer, junior guard Layshia Clarendon has averaged 12.5 points per game during the season. She was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week earlier this year when she scored 27 and 22 points, respectively, at Oregon and Oregon State, leading the Bears to two crucial road wins in their quest for a second-place Pac-12 finish. Clarendon is moving up the Bears career scoring list after scoring the 1,000th point of her career on January 28, 2012.

Freshman point guard Brittany Boyd and redshirt forward Gennifer Brandon both earned honorable mentions. Brandon is one of the top rebounders in the nation, averaging 9.9 rebounds per game and is poised to set the Cal record for most rebounds in a single season. This is the first all-conference honor of her career after receiving an honorable mention in 2010-11.

Boyd and forward Reshanda Gray were named to the five-member Pac-12 All-Freshman team. Boyd is averaging 10.0 points per game. She has already earned a spot in the Cal record book, tying the mark for the most steals in a single game (10). She is also on the top-10 list for assists in a single season and should finish the year with one of the ten-best seasons in terms of steals. Forward Reshanda Gray led the team in scoring for much of the season and currently ranks second with a 10.3 ppg average. Gray is also averaging 5.8 rebounds per game and has been a key element in leading the Bears to a second place finish in the Pac-12 conference.

Cal has had at least one player earn Pac-10 All-Freshman Team honors each of the last two seasons and have had six players earn the honor with five more honorable mentions since 2005-06.

For the first time in the five years the award has existed, the Bears did not have a player named to the five-player All-Defensive team. Cal did have a pair of honorable mentions: Gennifer Brandon and junior guard Eliza Pierre. Pierre was named to the All-Defensive team as a freshman and again as a sophomore. Ashley Walker earned All-Defensive honors in 2007-08 and 2008-09.

The Pac-12 also announced the winners of this season's top honors. Stanford senior Nnemkadi Ogwumike was voted the Pac-12 Player of the Year for the second time in three years. Her younger sister and teammate sophomore Chiney Ogwumike was honored as the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, while Washington's Jazmine Davis was selected the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. Stanford head coach Tara VanDerveer was also voted the John R. Wooden Coach of the Year by her colleagues, the 12th time in her career and second-straight year she has won the award.
