LOS ANGELES - #2 seed Raquel Kops-Jones opens main draw competition Thursday at the ITA All-American Championships. She will be facing Megan Bradley of Miami in round of 64 action. Kops-Jones enters the competition fresh off an eventful summer which started with her winning the NCAA Doubles Title in May and ending with her playing in the US Open in August. But after time off, Kops-Jones is prime and ready to make a run at the NCAA singles title.

In other action, the team of Catherine Lynch and Nicole Havlicek were upended by #2 seed Kelly Schmandt and Aleke Tsoubanoa of Vanderbilt.

In the singles consolation bracket, Catherine Lynch defeated Sharon McElroy of Wisconsin, (6-2, 6-4), then followed that up with a (6-4, 6-2) win over Jenny Kohn of Tulane. Now she will wait to face Michelle DeCosta of Michigan, on Thursday.
