"I am happy and excited about the win. I think there are some really good things we did, particularly on defense. Our rebounding was really good. We need to convert on that stuff. We are getting really great looks open court and we are just not making good decisions. Transitioning from getting a rebound to getting great looks on offense, to scoring, we're being sloppy with that stuff. We need to really clean it up. And we have a week to do that before Stanford. The turnover column, we're not owning that right now, and we need to fix that."
"I was very happy with our defense. Our rebounding. Our intensity. Working with The game plan: the kids knew it, they knew what they were supposed to do. That was great. We just need to clean up the turnovers."
"It's not so much the offense, running the set offense that is our problem (causing scoring droughts), its transition. Getting a great stop and then rewarding yourself on the opposite end of the floor, that's where we are getting sloppy. We're getting too deep in the paint before we make decisions. Our guards have to make decisions sooner than that. A lot of times we get those drive, kick to Ashley/Dev layups. We don't get them when we don't have that action. Now you have to think secondary. You have to think about getting your team into the flow of the game. When you haven't scored on your last three or four possessions, you have to figure out how to get into the flow of the game. There wasn't a flow for either team."
"There's not often you get into games where you are dominating a little at the beginning. Those can be games that are fun to be in. We were just grinding points out in this game. We were up 20, but we still had to grind points out. We need to make games like that fun. Execute."

"When anyone takes a loss, they can come back fired up and ready to play. We knew the Washington who lost to Stanford wasn't the same Washington. We know how they really are. Who can get hot. Any of their shooters can get hot at any time. We just said that we have come out fired up and wanting to win, and play our game defensively. If we use the scouting report and do what we are supposed to on defense, we are going to get stops and that is going to set us up on the other end and give us chances to score. That's really what we focused on today."
"We want to do well in every statistical category. We knew that we have not been doing well on rebounding, so today we came out focused on rebounding. We really focused on that and we did a good job."
