- Today's attendance of 72,516 marks the fourth sellout crowd in the past two seasons (three times in 2006) ... It's the sixth non Big Game sellout in the last 51 years ... it is also the 19th straight home game with over 50,000 fans

- This is the fourth sellout in the last five home games

- California donned its gold uniforms for the season-opener today... The Golden Bears are now 4-0 in games when it wears the gold uniforms (Oregon, UCLA, Texas A&M, Tennessee)

- Cal is 19-2 at home over the last 21 games

- This was Cal's 13th game scoring 40 or more points in its past 21 home games

- This is Cal's 24th game scoring 40 or more points under Jeff Tedford

- This is Cal's third win against an SEC team in school history (Alabama in 1938 Rose Bowl and at Tennessee in 1977)

- DeSean Jackson returned his sixth career punt for a touchdown (12:23 in the second quarter) on his 27th career punt return (it was a 77-yard return) ... Jackson now has six (6) punt returns for touchdowns on 27 returns ... NCAA record-holders Wes Welker (Texas Tech) had eight (8) on 152 returns, and Antonio Perkins (Oklahoma) had eight (8) on 113 returns

- Jackson now has three (3) of the 11 longest punt returns for touchdowns in school history (95 at Arizona, 80 vs. Arizona State, 77 vs. Tennessee)

- Justin Forsett had a career-long 49-yard reception towards the end of the first half ... he had a 13-yard touchdown run (9:10 in the fourth quarter), giving him 12 rushing touchdowns for his career ... he is one rushing TD shy of cracking the school's all-time career rushing touchdowns list ... he finished the game with 156 yards, the seventh 100-yard game of his career

- Worrell Williams had his first career fumble recovery and first career touchdown (13:09) in the first quarter ... Zack Follett recorded his seventh career forced fumble on the play (Follett led the Pac-10 with four forced fumbles last season)

- Nate Longshore (5:22 in the first quarter) scored a rushing touchdown for the second straight game (Holiday Bowl in 2006) ... it was his fourth career rushing touchdown.

- Robert Jordan (3:47 2nd quarter) hauled in a three-yard touchdown reception, making it the 31st consecutive game that he has caught a pass

- Jordan Kay (27 yard FG, 00:12 left in the first half) had his first career field goal attempt and make

- Lavelle Hawkins (13:36 in the third quarter) has now caught a touchdown pass in four consecutive games dating back to last season

- Cameron Morrah recorded a career-high three (3) receptions and a career-long 23-yard reception

Miscellaneous Notes ... True freshman Jahvid Best had 103 all-purpose yards in his collegiate debut, including a 34-yard run in the second quarter ... Will Ta'ufo'ou, who was expected to miss 3-6 weeks with a knee injury, had 29 all-purpose yards
