Vollmer Wins 100 Fly, Sets 3 U.S. Marks in Berlin

BERLIN - California alumna Dana Vollmer set three American records and won the gold medal n the 100-meter butterfly at the recent FINA World Cup meet in Germany. The former Golden Bears won the 100 fly with an American-record with a time of 55.59. She won a total of four medals at the Oct. 30-31 meet.

The NCAA and Pac-10 Swimmer of the Year in 2009, her senior year at Cal, Vollmer posted American records with silver-medal finishes in the 100 free (52.50) and 200 free (1:53.67). She also garnered silver in the 50 fly with a time of 25.74.
