Yet another indicator that California football is on the upswing, chief marketing officer Robert Hartman announced today that the school has set a one-day sales record for most season tickets sold. On the very first day of public sale, the Cal athletic ticket office sold more than 1,500 season packages. Many prime seats remain at scenic Memorial Stadium for the 2004 home season, which features games against such noteworthy opponents as UCLA, Oregon, Arizona State and Stanford. Season tickets are priced as low as $59. For more information, call 1-800-GO BEARS.
