FEDERAL WAY, WASH. - Sophomore Taylor Dehn placed fourth in the platform competition during the final day of the 2009 Pac-10 Diving Championships in Federal Way, Wash., setting a new Cal school record with a score of 324.20.
Dehn topped the former Golden Bear mark of 320.30 set by Sam Helvie in 2007. He led the Cal contingent that included freshman Joe Quattrocchi, who placed eighth with a score of 300.25; sophomore Tom Henninger, who was 10th with a mark of 242.80; and freshman Bobby Sullivan, who was 13th with a score of 222.70.
Cal had a successful three days at the Pac-10 Diving Championships. On Wednesday, Henninger placed seventh on the one-meter board. On Thursday, Henninger placed fifth and Dehn sixth on the three-meter board.
The Bear divers will next compete at the NCAA Zone Championships, March 12-14 in Austin, Texas.
