LOS ANGELES - This is Cal's first win at the Galen Center in five games. The last time the Bears beat USC in Los Angeles was in the 2006 Pac-10 Tournament.

This is also Cal's first win of the season when the score differential was two points or less.

Harper Kamp once again led Cal in scoring, this time with 19. He also finished second on the team in rebounds with seven. Kamp has now led the Bears in scoring eight times and the last three games in a row.

Jorge Gutierrez tied his season high in steals with four.

Four Bears reached double figures in scoring (Kamp 19, Markhuri Sanders-Frison 12, Allen Crabbe 12, Brandon Smith 12).

Smith dropped two three-pointers after only making one trey this season prior to tonight's game and two last season.

Sanders-Frison led the Bears on the boards with eight. He has now led Cal in rebounding 12 times this year.

Cal ended the half on a 19-4 run to take an eight-point lead at the half.

For the second straight game, Cal had less than 10 turnovers - nine at UCLA, eight at USC. The eight turnovers tonight were a season low.
