"Just excited that we are still in the post season. 30-some teams still playing and we are one of them. To be able to get two games at home has been good for us. Utah tested us in the second half. I just don't think we came out ready to play in the second half. I think they made some adjustments. I think they did a really good job. I am just proud of my team battling back the last six minutes of the game."
On what her game plan was going in
"I think you are not as prepared when you are not in Conference. In Conference, you see teams all the time. Here, you don't really know how big they are or how fast they are or all of that. They run a great motion. They run a lot of quicks. They move the ball well. They try to take 25 seconds off the shot clock. We knew we were going to have to play great defense. We got ourselves up against a big wall in the second half. Our pressing helped us a little bit. For us, is was continuity. We knew they were going to sit on our posts. We knew they weren't going to guard certain players. We just had to put them into ball screen action to make them guard us."
On the return of Alexis Gray-Lawson to the lineup
"It is great to have Lex back. I think Davis was a test for us in post season to have to play without her. People had to step up without her. As a coach, you just want her to come back in the flow. I think we did a good job of balancing and getting her her share of the ball."
On the upcoming matchup with Oregon
"They are going to shoot the three. They are going to shoot it quick. And they are going to run. It will be a track meet, again. It is not going to change."
Freshman guard Layshia Clarendon
"I think it has been my personal little battle, all year long, to try to play with confidence. Finding my confidence. I still should have shot more in the second half, so I will work on that in Oregon."
Senior guard Alexis Gray-Lawson
On not showing any hesitation in her return to the court
"Once you bump your head, you might as well go for it! I was trying to get back in the rhythm of everything. I had been back in practice for two days. I was getting used to getting hit again, taking charges, and pumping up my teammates. Obviously, I knew I was going to have to guard (Kalee) Whipple today. She is a physical player, so I was ready. It just kind of came to me. I did have to shake some rust off in the beginning. I was just too anxious at first. I just let it come to me and talked to my teammates. It all just kind of fell into place."
