BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Justin Cobbs had 24 points apiece for California, but the Golden Bears fell short in a 83-70 setback to Stanford Wednesday night in front sellout crowd of 11,877 fans on Senior Night at Haas Pavilion.
Chasson Randle scored 20 points, Josh Huestis added 18 for the Cardinal, who ended the Bears' seven-game winning streak.
Aaron Bright chipped in 16 points for the Cardinal (18-13, 9-9 Pac-12).
The Golden Bears (20-10, 12-6) lost for the first time since Feb. 7.
Down by as much as 19 with under six minutes to play, the Bears cut it to 13 points (77-64) with 2:22 remaining, but Stanford held off Cal's late charge to post their first win in Berkeley in three seasons.
Crabbe, a Pac-12 Player of the Year candidate topped the 20-point mark for the 14th time this season and 27th time in his Golden Bear career.
Wednesday marked the final regular-season home game for Cal's three seniors, Bak Bak, Brandon Smith and Robert Thurman.
Cal, which concluded the regular season with at least 20 victories for the second-straight season, will await its seeding in next week's Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas.
