REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. - The California Golden Bears varsity eight boat defeated Wisconsin for the second consecutive year in a dual race at Redwood Shores, Friday morning.

The Bears started out out strong, building a slight lead after 500 meters. Cal expanded its lead over the Badgers to three quarters of a boat length at the halfway marker and slowly streched the lead to a full length after 1,500 meters.
