BERKELEY - Tickets are still available for Saturday's showdown between nationally-ranked Pac-10 rivals California and Oregon at Memorial Stadium. Approximately 2,000 reserved seat tickets ($40) remain for the contest. The tickets are only available at the stadium beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
The Golden Bears, ranked No. 16 in the nation, have won four straight games, piling up over 40 points in each of those games. The 11th-ranked Ducks are undefeated this year and also feature one of the more potent offenses in the country.
In addition to the football festivities, it is Homecoming in Berkeley and the Golden Bears are wrapping up "National Championship Week," a week celebrating the school's three team and six individual national championships. Each of the National Champions will be recognized at halftime while the pregame ceremonies will include a coin toss with Cal's newest Nobel Prize winner - George Smoot, who won the award earlier this week for his physics research.
