Oct. 13, 2009
The California Golden Bears women's basketball season is about to get underway, or at least the official preparations for the season. The 2009-10 Bears will hold their first official practice of the season on Friday, Oct. 16.
The Bears, who are coming off a season that saw Cal make their first ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament's Sweet-16, have been doing conditioning and playing against one another in open gym time since late summer. They also have two hours of practice time per week. October 16 begins the official practices on the Bears normal schedule leading up to their Nov. 15 opener against Idaho State.
All Cal women's basketball practices are closed to the general public. However, members of Triple Threat and 2009-10 season ticket holders have a special invitation-only practice they are invited to. CLICK HERE for more information about becoming a Triple Threat member.
Season tickets are still available for the 2009-10 season. There will still be FREE ADMISSION to all home games for all Cal Students with their Cal Student ID.
