BERKELEY - The 20th-ranked California women's golf team hosts the seventh-annual "Friends of Cal Women's Golf Tournament" Wednesday, May 1, at the Claremont Country Club in Oakland. The Cal women's golf coaching staff and athletes will participate in the event, along with the steering committee of "Friends of Cal Women's Golf."
The $225 entry fee includes 18-holes of golf, cart, caddy, a continental breakfast and lunch. Registration and breakfast is from 7 a.m.-8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The luncheon, which includes prizes and a raffle, begins at approximately 1:30 p.m. All proceeds from the golf tournament benefit the Golden Bear women's golf program.
