No. 4 California Places Second at MPSF Championships

LINCOLN, Neb. - The fourth-ranked California men's gymnastics team placed second at the MPSF team Championships hosted by University of Nebraska Friday evening with a score of 216.025, behind top-ranked Oklahoma, 223.500. The Golden Bears set a new season best on the floor (36.450) and rings (36.700) while setting eight individual season bests.

Eight-time All-American Cody Moore claimed first place on the pommel horse with a season best 9.650 while All-American Graham Ackerman secured first place on the vault, carding a 9.400.

Junior David Eaton finished fourth in the all-around (52.650), tied for fifth on p-bars (8.850) and placed sixth on floor with a season best 9.150.

Ackerman secured Cal's only second place finish of the night with a top-notch 9.600 performance on the floor, .05 behind Oklahoma's Jock Stevens (9.650). Senior Aaron Floyd claimed third place with a new season high 9.350 mark and set a season best 9.500 on the rings for a 10th place showing. Four-time All-American Michael Ashe set a season best 9.550 on the rings to finish in ninth place.
