FEDERAL WAY, WASH. - Junior diver Thomas Henninger gave the No. 4-ranked Cal men's swimming and diving team some points towards a conference championship with a seventh-place finish in the three-meter competition Thursday, Feb. 25, at the 2010 Pac-10 Diving Championships in Federal Way, Wash.
Henninger, from Glenside, Pa., scored a 323.70 in the preliminary rounds to advance to the finals. In the finals, he tallied mark of 302.45 to place seventh.
The Pac-10 Diving Championships will continue Friday, Feb. 26 with the one-meter competition for the men, beginning with the prelims at 11 a.m. Both the men's and women's platform competition will be held Saturday, Feb. 27.
The Cal men's swimmers are currently preparing for the 2010 Pac-10 Swimming Championships, March 3-6, at the Belmont Plaza Pool in Long Beach, Calif. The Bear swimmers will be led by junior Nathan Adrian, the 2009 Pac-10 Swimmer of the Year who captured the conference crown in the 50, 100 and 200 free last season.
