STOCKTON, CA - The No. 1 ranked University of California women's water polo team (26-4) defeated No. 9 ranked San Jose State, 12-1, and No. 16 Pacific, 11-1, Saturday at the Northern California Regional Qualifier in Stockton.

In the Bears match against San Jose State, they were led by four goals from junior Colette Glinkowski and three goals by freshman Breena Fleener. The Spartans did not score a goal until the fourth period.

Versus host Pacific, Cal was led by senior Erin Kelley, sophomore Beth Irwin and sophomore Amy Buehler, with two goals apiece. The Tigers Molly Smith scored her team's lone goal in the third period.

The Bears will next face UC Davis at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. If Cal wins the UC Davis match, it will play in the championship match at 2:45 p.m. versus Stanford or Cal State Bakersfield.
