#2 California (90) vs #15 Fresno State (76) - Post Game Notes

•California advances to the NCAA Second Round for the second consecutive year and the fifth time in program history.

•California moved it's all-time NCAA Tournament record to 6-8, including a 2-0 vs Fresno State.

•California moves to 29-3 on the season, improving upon the current program-best record for number of wins in a season.

•Head Coach Lindsay Gottlieb earned her 54th victory as head coach at California (54-13) - matching the best two-year win total in program history. Joanne Boyle won 54 games from 2007-09 with identical 27-7 records those two seasons.

•California is now 22-5 all-time against Fresno State with both of the last two meetings coming in NCAA Tournament action.

•California has now led at the half in 27 of 32 games this season with its () lead against Fresno State, and the Bears are (26-1) in those games. The Bears did not lead against Duke (trailed, lost), Oregon State at home (trailed, won) or in either game against Colorado (1st Meeting - tied, won; 2nd Meeting - trailed, won).

•California had two players reach double-doubles in Brittany Boyd (21p-13r) and Ashley Walker (32p-11r) and Devanei Hampton (22p-11r) both achieved the feat.

Brittany Boyd

•Had her fifth double-double of the season with (21) points and (13) rebounds. She also had (9) assists and (2) steals.
•Tied the California NCAA Tournament single-game assist mark with (9) in the game. Lauren Grief also dished nine assists against Virginia in the 2009 NCAA First Round.
•Had a career-high with (13) rebounds.

Gennifer Brandon
•With her (12) rebounds, is now at (349) for the season to break her own California single-season mark of 346 that she set last season.
•Registered her 17th double-double of the season and 32nd of her career with (17) points and (12) rebounds.

Talia Caldwell
•With her (7) rebounds, is now at (979) rebounds in her career, making her (21) rebounds shy of becoming the third Golden Bear to hit the 1,000-point, 1,000-rebound mark.
•Scored (14) points to move to No. 16 on the California all-time scoring list with (1,109) in her career. Caldwell passed Heli Toikka (1,102; 1983-86) on the California scoring list.

Layshia Clarendon
•With her (3) assists, moved to No. 5 on the California all-time list with (385) in her career, surpassing Jackie Lear (383, 1993-95).

Afure Jemerigbe
•Had a new career high with (5) assists.
