Cal Defeated by Washington, 64-53

Berkeley, Calif. - The University of California women's basketball team dropped its final home game this season, 64-53, to the visiting Washington Huskies today at Haas Pavilion. With the loss, the Bears drop to 7-18 (2-14) heading into the final weekend of the season.

Three Cal players scored in double digits in the loss. Leigh Gregory paced the Bears in the first half, scoring all of her 11 points in the initial 20 minutes. Kiki Williams took over in the second half, scoring 10, and finishing the day as Cal's leading scorer with a total of 12 points. Senior forward Ami Forney, in her last appearance in Haas Pavilion, also added 10 points on the day.

Washington's Kellie O'Neill led all players with 14 points on the afternoon, including a key nine points in the second half. Guiliana Mendiola and Andrea Lalum each added 10 points for the Cougars, who saw nine different players score on the day.

Cal travels to Los Angeles next week. The Bears take on UCLA on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m., and are scheduled to tipoff against USC next Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
