BERKELEY - California head football coach Jeff Tedford has added a new entry to "Tedford Talk," his official online blog at www.CalBears.com. The Golden Bear coach talks about preseason camp and looking for a loud crowd for Saturday's season-opener against Michigan State at Memorial Stadium.
"We need you at this Saturday's game against Michigan State," Tedford writes in his latest entry. "They are a very good team and very well coached in all three aspects of the game. Their running back is one of the best in the country. He reminds us a lot of Justin Forsett, only a little bigger. We know that will be a challenge for us, but they have a lot of other good players and we'll have our work cut out for us, so we need every fan to give us full support. It would be great if we could get an atmosphere like we had for last year's Tennessee game, only better. Don't forget, when we have the ball, the Bears are at work, so stay quiet so we can communicate well, but when they have the ball, get loud!."
