Cal-Washington Postgame Notes
Feb. 2, 2008
Ryan Anderson finished with 33 points and 17 rebounds for his ninth double-double of the year.
Anderson has reached double figures in 23 straight games. He has 12 20-point games this season, including eight with 27 or more.
Anderson has scored at least 30 points four times this season. Only two other players in Cal history had more 30-point games in one year - Ed Gray with six in 1996-97 and Lamond Murray with five in 1993-94.
Anderson's 17 rebounds ties his career high. He also had 17 points at Oregon State back on Jan. 12.
Including his 27-point, nine-rebound effort at Washington State Thursday, Anderson finished the weekend with 60 points and 26 rebounds. He made 20-of-32 shots from the floor, 9-of-14 from three-point range and all 11 of his free throw attempts.
Patrick Christopher had 20 points for his seventh 20-point game of the year.
After shooting just 38.5 percent from the floor in the first half, Cal made 59.4 percent of its attempts after the break and finished the game shooting an even 50.0 percent.
Cal outrebounded Washington, 24-11, after the break. The Bears allowed only three offensive rebounds in the final 20 minutes after UW got 14 in the first half.
Cal shot 87.5 percent from the free throw line (14-16). The Bears have made 70-of-83 from the stripe over their past five games (84.3%).
