LA QUINTA, CALIF. -

The California Golden Bears played in an individual tournament in La Quinta, Calif. Friday at the Stadium Course at the La Quinta Golf Course. Players from Stanford, Harvard, UC Davis, UCLA, and Cal all competed in the tournament.

Sophomore Pia Halbig tied for first place with Tiffany Joh of UCLA with both players finishing with a one-under, 73. Allison Goodman finished sixth with a 76. Dinae Kwon was tenth with a 78.

The tournament, played in the desert of Southern California at the Stadium Course at La Quinta, a par 72, 6166 yards course for the 18 hole tournament, was a late addition to the schedule to make up for the rained out tournament in San Jose. It also gave the Bears an opportunity to get back on the course and into competition before heading to Arizona for the PING/ASU Invitational next weekend in Phoenix.
