Cal Notes

- Robert Jordan hauled in a five-yard reception in the first quarter, making it the 32nd consecutive game that he has caught a pass

- Jahvid Best caught his first career reception in the first quarter and recorded a tackle on special teams for the second consecutive game ... had a career-high 64-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to seal the victory

- DeSean Jackson recorded a career-best 73 yard rushing touchdown on an end-around (big block Mike Gibson) in the first quarter to help knot the score at 7-7.

- Jackson had four first downs on five touches last week vs. Tennessee and had first downs on four of his first five touches today ... he had a season-long 25-yard reception in the second quarter

- Derrick Hill recorded his first career interception (Zack Follett applied the quarterback pressure) in the first quarter

- LaReylle Cunningham recorded his first reception of the year in the first quarter

- Cal's Defense recorded back-to-back sacks in the second quarter (Anthony Felder, followed by Cameron Jordan and Tyson Alualu) ... Alualu tacked on a sack and half sack in the third quarter

- Justin Forsett's 1-yard touchdown run (on a three tight end set, with Garry Graffort) in the second quarter was his 13th career rushing touchdown, placing him tenth on the all-time Cal rushing TD chart (It was also Graffort's first career game action)

Jordan Kay connected on a career-long 47-yeard field goal in the second quarter (added a 41-yarder in the third quarter)

- Anthony Felder had a 11 first half tackles (nine total vs. Tennessee Sept. 1) ... Felder added his second sack of the day, combined with a forced fumble (Tad Smith recovery) in the third quarter

- Justin Moye recorded his first career interception in the fourth quarter

- James Montgomery scored his first career touchdown (2-yard plunge) in the fourth quarter (had a career-long 10-yard run on the play before)
