No. 4 Cal Leads Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational By One Stroke

SEATTLE - No. 4 California saw its eight-stroke lead dwindle to one stroke Tuesday after the second round of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at the Sahalee Country Club. After firing a 306, the Golden Bears head into Wednesday's final round with a score of 591, ahead of Arizona and UCLA (592).

Rounding out the top five are USC (601) and Oregon (612).

Cal senior Anna Temple, a Berkeley, Calif., product, started the day in second (70), one stroke behind her sophomore teammate Sofie Andersson (69) in the individual competition. But after Temple carded a 72 today, she finds herself in first (career-best 142) with a two-stroke advantage over UCLA's Susie Matthews (144). Tied for third are USC's Rachel Bell and Arizona's Erica Blasberg at 145. Andersson is tied for fifth at 146.

Senior Sarah Huarte also is performing well for the Bears in a tie for 14th at 150. She carded a 76 today.

The final round tees off tomorrow beginning at 8:30 a.m.
