BERKELEY - The California-Southern Mississippi football game this season, originally slated for Sept. 25 in Hattiesburg, Miss., has been rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18, Cal Executive Associate Athletic Director Dan Coonan announced Monday.

Kickoff time at Hattiesburg's M.M. Roberts Stadium is yet to be determined. Coonan said both schools have reached an agreement on the date change, pending new contracts to be signed later this week.

With the intersectional game moved up a week earlier, the Golden Bears will now enjoy a bye week before opening their Pacific-10 Conference season at Oregon State Oct. 2.
