BERKELEY - California head football coach Jeff Tedford has added a new entry to "Tedford Talk," his official online blog at www.CalBears.com. The Golden Bear coach talks about the big Pac-10 opening win over Washington State, the cross country trip for this Saturday's game and the challenges presented by Maryland.
"Maryland presents many challenges," Tedford writes. "They have big time players at running back and at receiver and they have an experienced and physical offensive line. Their defense has changed up a bit to more of a three-man front which is different for them, but they have a good defensive line and some very good players at linebacker. I know they will be ready to go this weekend, especially after stubbing their toe last week. We won't underestimate them, they are a good football team, very well-coached and the will be very motivated."
