Head Coach Joanne Boyle
"I'm so proud of the team, being able to come out again on a roadtrip and get a win. Being young but still being able to grind this game out. Lexi kept her head in the game. She played every minute. She put her team on her back and carried it. She won this game for us."
On Alexis Gray-Lawson's game
"As a coach, I look at her and know I am not going to coach a kid like this all the time. Ashley Walker last year was that kind of player. The growth for Lexi this season has been the way she has become so consistent. She practices hard every day so games are not and harder than practices. She has built her confidence in practices. She knows this is her team and she needs to put them on her back. It has been unbelievable watching that kid. It has just been fun!"
"Gen Brandon got some big rebounds down the stretch for us. Rebounding is a part of why we are winning games."
"Our posts didn't start out strong for us, but tonight they finished really strong."
Senior guard Alexis Gray-Lawson
"I am totally exhausted, but happy we won. We came here to get a W and that is what we did. You kind of get what the defenses are given you. Most teams tend to put double coverage or triple team me.
"I was starting to feel tired in the first overtime, but I feel is was so worth it all. All the work I have been putting in and coach has been telling me to put in has paid off."
"OSU was playing single coverage so I thought I should just go this time. I was just trying to be aware and get to the basket."
"I knew I wasn't going to get to the basket as much because they are a charge-taking team and coach told me to pull up. My pull-up was going, so I just kept rolling."
On what happened after OSU started double-teaming her
"Once you get into a zone, you just block everything out. That was pretty much what I was doing."
