BERKELEY - With the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament complete, the field is now set for the Berkeley Regional to be contested this weekend in Haas Pavilion. On Saturday, fourth-seeded Iowa State will face No. 9 seed Michigan State at 6 p.m., followed by second-seeded Stanford vs. third-seeded Ohio State at 8:30 p.m. The regional championship game will tip off at 6 p.m. Monday.
Iowa State (26-8) reached its first Sweet 16 since 2001 with a 71-57 victory over Ball State in a second-round game played in Bowling Green, Ky. Nicky Wieben paced the Cyclones with 18 points. After tying a tournament record with 16 three-pointers in its opening-round win over East Tennessee State, ISU shot 10-for-25 from behind the arc vs. Ball State.
Michigan State (22-10) upended top-seeded Duke, 63-49, Tuesday night, playing on its home floor in East Lansing, Mich. The Spartans were led by Mia Johnson's season-high 17 points. MSU held Duke without a field goal over the final 7:32, outscoring the Blue Devils, 16-2, to close out the game. The Spartans are just the third No. 9 seed to advance to the Sweet 16, following Arkansas and Notre Dame in 1998.
Ohio State (29-5) topped Mississippi State, 64-58, to reach the third round for the first time since 2005. Jantel Lavender had 20 points for the game as the Buckeyes shut out the Bulldogs over the final 6:43 of the contest.
Stanford (31-4) will be aiming for its second consecutive trip to the Final Four after picking up its 18th straight win with a 77-49 victory over San Diego State in the second round. The streak is the third-longest active run in the country. Freshman Nnemkadi Ogwumike notched career highs with 27 points and 13 rebounds, her fifth double-double of the season, vs the Aztecs.
All-session tickets for the Berkeley Regional are $50 for sideline prime seats, $35 for end zone (adults), and $20 for youths (12 and under) and seniors (65+) in the end zone. Single-game tickets are $35 for sidelines, $25 in the end zone for adults and $13 in the end zone for youths and seniors.

In addition, fans are encouraged to come out early to both the semifinal and regional championship games March 28 & 30 to enjoy the NCAA Village that will be set up on Spieker Plaza in front of Haas Pavilion. The event will run from 5-6 p.m. both days and will include music, sampling and other giveaways. Representatives from Vitamin Water, Coke Zero and Powerade will all be on hand.
