BERKELEY - Jahvid Best put together a big game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Detroit Lion scored twice, rushing 16 times for 57 yards and hauling in six receptions for 66 yards.

Aaron Rodgers and Desmond Bishop once again garnered solid outings for the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns (19-for-30), leading the Packers to a win over the Carolina Panthers. Bishop paced the Green Bay defense with 10 tackles and a sack.

A soon-to-be NFL hall of famer, Tony Gonzalez scored twice for the Atlanta Falcons against the Philadelphia Eagles, totaling seven catches for 83 yards in addition.

Ryan Longwell was good on both of his field goal tries for the Minnesota Vikings against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Some of Cal's defensive leaders in Week 2 were Matt Girodano (Oakland Raiders, seven tackles), Scott Fujita (Cleveland Browns, five tackles), Tyson Alualu (Jacksonville Jaguars, four tackles) and Nnamdi Asomugha (Philadelphia Eagles, three tackles).

Other Week 2 Cal in the NFL notes: DeSean Jackson (Philadelphia Eagles) caught two passes for 21 yards against the Atlanta Falcons ... Alex Mack has started every game (34) at center for the Cleveland Browns since 2009 ... Lavelle Hawkins (Tennessee Titans) pulled in three passes for 22 yards against the Baltimore Ravens ... Andre Carter (New England Patriots) notched two tackles against the San Diego Chargers ... Brandon Mebane had two tackles for the Seattle Seahawks against the Pittsburgh Steelers ... Daymeion Hughes (San Diego Chargers) posted a tackle against the New England Patriots ... Cameron Jordan (New Orleans Saints) notched a tackle against the Chicago Bears ... Craig Stevens notched a reception for the Tennessee Titans.
