Cal captured the Golden Bear Classic for the 10th time in the 15-year history of the event.
Cal guard Jerome Randle, who scored a career-high 26 points, was named MVP of the Golden Bear Classic. He was joined on the all-tournament team by Ryan Anderson (Cal), Ben Woodside (North Dakota State), Brett Winkelman (North Dakota State), Donovan Morris (Long Beach State) and Josh Linthicum (Bucknell).
Randle's previous high was 21 points set vs. San Diego State earlier this season.
In the two tournament games, Cal combined to make 26 three-pointers in 51 attempts. On Saturday, both Randle and Anderson were 4-for-6 from behind the arc.
Randle made all 8 of his free throw attempts, the best performance by a Cal player at the line this year.
Cal trailed, 35-28, at the break. This marks the third time this season the Bears have won after being behind at halftime.
Cal scored 58 points in the second half vs. North Dakota State after totaling 64 second-half points Friday vs. Long Beach State.
North Dakota State outrebounded Cal, 40-36, becoming just the second team to outrebound the Bears this year. Kansas State was the other.
Anderson finished with 27 points and 12 rebounds for his sixth double-double this year. He has now scored at least 27 points in a game four times in 2007-08.
At 9-2, Cal has matched its most wins before Jan. 1 under head coach Ben Braun. The last time Cal won 10 games before the New Year was in 1947-48.
